Psychology is an understatement in the field of Social Sciences. By studying for a Bachelor's Psychology degree you will learn all about all aspects of the human psyche and how people are influenced by society, culture and the challenges of the present. He will examine various topics, trying to answer such questions as: Is the brain simply a defect in brain processes? Is morality learned or inherited? What kind of human recognition? How can people change their work for themselves? The field of Psychology can help you to understand a wide range of human behaviors and the many approaches to mental health problems.
Psychology students will combine theories of theory and practical work experience and case studies on issues such as trauma, mental disorders, addiction, child development, and current therapies, among others. Staff in our Department of Psychology work on research with many applications, many of which are recognized worldwide. Their compositional neuroscience work, for example, helps develop robots that learn as humans. Some projects make a difference in health and social well-being, and in promoting clinical practice. This breadth of technology makes Sheffield an exciting learning environment, full of opportunities. You will be trained in the methods used by psychologists and trained researchers. And there are many opportunities to work on real research projects, many of which involve public or private partners.
The courses are approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which qualifies you as a graduate member, the first step in becoming a respected psychiatrist. Some of us graduates follow this pattern, which involves graduation training. Others use their great transfer skills in areas such as advertising, market research and social work.
