Campus tour

The university has four libraries, each at one campus. They all have an extensive collection of books, journals, DVDs and other specialist materials. There is also an iPad and MacBook loan scheme in place as well as access to computer laboratories which have the latest software.

Specialist course facilities are accessible for a variety of different interests. This includes access to Bloomberg Financial Markets Suites for Business, Finance and Accounting students. Also, the Architectural studios offer advanced facilities which includes a digital fabrication laboratory with all sorts of 3D printers and laser cutters. Computer science and electronics students have access to 30 laboratories which include the latest games consoles and virtual reality kits.

Student Support

The Student Ambassador Scheme allows opportunity for students to find part-time work and gain work experience by supporting events such as open days, applicant days and outreach activities with schools and colleges

A free and confidential term-time health service led by experienced nurse practitioners help students with a range of health-related matters. Teams of professional counsellors offer confidential counselling to students who experience personal and study difficulties. Mentoring is also available for students who have long-term mental and physical health conditions.

Students' Union (UWSU) is a student-led organization where all students are automatically members. This leads to range of sports clubs and societies being accessible to cater to needs of all the students.

Future Prospects

Students are given a multitude of different opportunities to enhance their practical experience through internships, professional placements, study abroad and volunteering or mentoring programs. Workshops, presentations and employer events, and all faculties have their own work placement teams that assist students in finding work experience as well as give practice interviews.

The Career Development Centre services like one-to-one careers coaching, CV and application advice, careers information (in person and online), and mentoring. This is even helpful to graduates as the Career Development Centre is available to all students, as well as graduates for up to three years after their graduation.
