If you are interested to study about the communities, societies and the cultures then this course is all made for you. In this you will closely be studying about school councils, community, social service groups, ecology and what not. This course is interesting as its subjective and will let you understand the community patterns.
Throughout your degree, you will be able to study about the community groups, private organizations, non- government agencies (NGOs) and every agency which works for the betterment of the society. You will also work with non-government organizations and have exposure to a range of rural and regional expansion issues including: community development, healthy urban design, food security, , land-use planning and environmental and social policy at local, regional, national and international levels.
Completing this degree will lead you to have diverse career opportunities within local governments, non-government organizations, research that focus on advocacy bodies and in the private sector. Roles may include community development and management, advocacy, research, public policy development, social and community planning and urban, rural and environmental planning as part of multi-disciplinary teams in social and economic development projects.
