The purpose of the program is to equip you to meet the critical needs of today's competitive industrial environment. The program provides theoretical measurement, practice and participation and includes visits to various organizations in the manufacturing sector. It provides an excellent foundation of work that has resulted in over 95% graduation rates. The program is taught by the staff of the School of Engineering and Technology recently awarded the best rating in a report by HEFCE inspectors. All research is evaluated by continuous assessment.
The School of Engineering and Technology has a reputation for innovation in teaching and learning, where almost all MSc modules are delivered through a combination of face-to-face teaching and backup teaching through the University's Study Net website. Study Net allows students to access electronic learning resources and learning resources, and to conduct electronic discussions with staff and other students. Emphasis is placed on the concept and practice, and the School has a policy of using standard industrial software where possible. The school also works with an open access laboratory, and a computer policy, which will help student’s complete coursework and assignments, at a fixed speed and on time.
