Diploma of Design

Design degrees focus on basic aspects of construction work, from understanding and methodology to numerology and philosophy. Design is sometimes the first step before developing a specific product that has to follow specific decorative features and respond to specific customer needs. Students enrolled in a Bachelor or Master in Design will learn to describe the importance of a particular item or idea, composition, size, color, environment, cost, jobs, pledge, issues, etc. The use and design attributes are becoming more and more differentiated and these days exist in many different business sectors, from architecture and civil engineering, to organizational behavior and human behavior. A designer may work in a variety of fields such as: fashion design, interior design, design, industrial design, web design and more.

Like most fields, the design changes faster and more often than the ward of praise, especially when the computer is your primary tool. At Griffith College and Griffith University's Queensland College of Art (QCA), you will be introduced to the basic waters of composition - color, design and sculpture. You will work on problem-solving strategies, learn geographical and visual thinking, work in teams and individually, develop skills in time management, communication, resources, design, visual information and assessment. In Australia, the Diploma of Design leads directly into the second year of the Bachelor program at Griffith University, where students can choose from major fields such as: Graphic and Communication Design, Interior Design and Environments, Product and Design 3D. The length of the Diploma course is three trimesters (12 months). There is an option, however, to immediately follow the course and finish it in two trimesters (8 months). Griffith College creates positive experiences including: a full year of study equivalent to the first year of the Griffith College Bachelor of Business Program.
