Course Details

Epidemiology is a study of how diseases occur in certain groups. It is an attempt to understand many aspects of the disease, such as the degree to which any given population may be at risk of contracting the original disease and why the diseases in question occur. The ability to classify diseases, evaluate threats posed to humans and track those threats is not only important for the health of certain groups, but for all countries. Nowadays, studying in Australia the field is critical to understanding and measuring the impact of the disease. It provides public health policy decisions around the world and provides an understanding of where prevention strategies are most needed. Epidemiology is for students who see disease as one of the biggest problems in the world and want to contribute to curbing its mysterious presence.
