La Trobe University Sports Management program is designed for job seekers in Sports Management in Australia and abroad. Professional units provide students with the ability to understand and work within a more dedicated context in which games are played, organized and managed. Students completing this major will be provided with the skills and knowledge to manage sporting experiences related to economic distribution and current issues in sports. Graduates find employment in all levels of Government as well as in the private sector of nonprofit commercial organizations.
In the first year, you will develop business policy knowledge by studying economics, accounting and finance, sports management and sports marketing. This will provide you with an understanding of business structures, business culture and performance management that support the gaming industry. In the second year, he will investigate the social and economic policies of sport through business law, sports policy, sports and human resource management courses. By the third year, you will complete putting in 200 hours of work where you will analyze current practices, apply game management theory, and improve industrial communications. Along with your placement, you will hold workshops that will enhance your recruitment, as well as basic topics in volunteer management, sports management and sports development. You will have the flexibility of eight choice options from any subject area and the opportunity to participate in overseas business studies with our global environment. These include Stirling University, University of Bayreuth, University of Oregon and University of Windsor.
Our unique field of Professional Practice within this course is to improve the curriculum of the curriculum, the learning experience of students, and to engage with industry and business. Opportunities for the sport management business have increased significantly over the past 10 years. Games that include the Australian Rules for football, basketball, cricket, tennis and golf, as well as national and government sports organizations all need independent people working for them.
