Bachelor of Business (Sport Development and Management)

The Bachelor of Business in Sport Development and Management is one of the few courses of its kind in Australia, conducted and designed to work with industry professionals. La Trobe University allows students to combine your love of sports and business knowledge with industry, offering on-the-job training and a focus on meeting the specific needs of rural and regional communities. In the first year, you will learn the basics of business, economics and finance and the key principles of sports marketing and sports management. In the second year, you will build an understanding of the relationship between sport and the media, as well as learn valuable lessons in sports and mental training, sport development and sport policy.

For your final year, you will apply the 100-hour work experience, where you will analyze current trends, apply game development and management theory, and improve industrial communications. Next to your placement, you will hold workshops that will enhance your recruitment, as well as some basic lessons in volunteer management and sports and management strategies. You can further and further enhance your degree with a choice of public health promotion, administration, economics, law, finance, marketing or external and external education. You will have the opportunity to participate in international business studies and partner universities such as, University of Bayreuth, University of Stirling, University of Windsor and University of Oregon.

Our unique field of Professional Practice within this course is to improve the curriculum of the curriculum, the learning experience of students, and to engage with industry and business. He will graduate with a solid foundation of careers in national, state and local government, community sports fields and nonprofit organizations.
