Bachelor of Biochemistry – BSc (Hons)
English Requirements
- IELTS Overall Band: 6.0
Biochemistry is a multidisciplinary field, in which Biology (analyzing cell parts) and Chemistry (interactions between elements) are combined, in order to understand the processes that occur in living organisms and how to grow them as much as possible. The main roles of Biochemistry are Molecular genetics, Protein Science, and Metabolism. Students will work on all kinds of living things, from human, to animal and microscopic. Biochemistry degrees offer general courses in Microbiology and Immunology, General Biology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biophysics, Cellular and Evolutionary Biology, and more.
Biochemistry is the study of the basic processes of life in a chemical environment. Biologists want to answer questions about the phenomena of life, health and disease, the natural world, the materials and materials using scientific and biomedical techniques. From basic support in chemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology and the making of the human body, you will move towards understanding the complex biochemical processes that form the basis of recent discoveries in bioscience. One of the key benefits of our entire Bioscience degree program is that you will be given a sound foundation in all major aspects of biological theory, technique and practice. To enable this you will have the use of excellent resources, in our new scientific, chemical, and biomedical applications, such as our cell culture centers that have the potential to grow new human cells. In addition, upon graduation, you will be eligible to become a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. All natural graduates are eligible for the Institute of Biology membership.
This Bioscience qualifications is highly sought after by employers in the industry due to the academic reputation, something used in different degrees and the fact that most of students already have a work year experience when they receive their sandwich year qualifications. Graduates can find work in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industry, the agricultural and biotechnology industries as well as in funded, academic and scientific research. Some graduates also work in health and environmental health organizations. Degree of general duties for newly graduated students: Professional Training Coaches, Drug Safety Coordinator, Drug Safety Coordinator, Medical Advocate, Global Expert, Chemist Specialist, Research Assistant, Tissue Culture Assistant and Referral Assistant.
