Southern Illinois University, founded in 1969, is a flagship campus of the Southern Illinois University System. Among SIU’s impressive roster of alumni are Rolan Burris, Attorney and former US Senate, former NBA star, Walt Clyde Frazier Jr who is a famous contributor to professional basketball. As well as, Steve Finley who is a former player for Major league Baseball.
