Overview
Ohio Wesleyan University, OWU, is known as a private liberal arts college that is located in Delaware, Ohio. It was established in 1842 by Methodist leaders and is also affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It is also a member of the Ohio Five, a group of Liberal Arts Colleges in Ohio. There are many things that make Ohio Wesleyan a good option for students to consider when planning their higher education. Starting off with its 56 to 43.7% female to male students ratio, it also has a 12 to 1 student-teacher ratio, while also having a class average of 18, ensuring that each student gets the opportunity to interact with their teachers. Ohio Wesleyan offers its students more than 70 majors to choose from and a very unique aspect of OWU is that all of its students go through the OWU Connection Experience, which basically checks if students are undergoing experiential learning. As for international students, Ohio Wesleyan is a great option as OWU’s student body is composed of students coming from 33 countries, out of which Pakistani students make up a good chunk. As for rankings, OWU stands at #119 in National Liberal Arts and #129 in Top Performers on Social Mobility in the US News and World Report in 2025.

Student Life
Ohio Wesleyan University offers students an array of facilities and support services to aid their growth and development inside and outside the classroom. Starting off with Housing and Dining services, OWU offers students accommodation in Smith Hall as well as Bradford Milligan Hall. They also provide students with nutritious food. As for clubs and organisations, OWU offers students opportunities to find their crowd by the wide range of clubs that are functional, a few include Anime club, Astronomy club, Incredible Film Club and many Greek oriented clubs for those interested. Moreover, sports and athletics is something OWU takes seriously as it has 24 varsity sports teams and OWU is a part of NCAA in Division III. It is also a member of the NCAC.

Ohio Wesleyan University has played its role in developing distinguished and bright minds, who have gone and made a name for themselves in the real world. Starting off with Wendie Malick, a famous actress and former fashion model, who received the honor of being nominated for Primetime Emmys and Golden Globes. Another impressive personality is Byron Pitts, a journalist and an author, working as a co-host for ABC news’ Nightline.
