Overview
The University is the first overseas campus of the internationally renowned Middlesex University that is located in London, UK. MDX Dubai provides students with the opportunity to transfer their studies to London within the second year of study. It boasts over 3,500 students from more than 100 nationalities and offers pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a wide variety of subject areas.
Its key location in Dubai Knowledge Park puts students in close reach of the tech and creative hubs of Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City. The University has a Media Center that features industry standard editing suites, color grading suites, editing and VFX suite, an ADR booth, 4k editing facilities, an integrated learning space and a special screening room. As a result, Middlesex University Dubai is the only university in the Middle East to be certified by Black magic Design
It also has specialist labs including a Cisco Lab, Graphic Design Lab, Robotics Lab, and a Physical Lab, with each equipped with expert equipment to further enhance the learning, development, and skills of our students. The University is known for HUB19, a recreational space for students to unwind, get involved in extracurricular activities, or catch up with friends. The space features a student lounge, recreational room, gaming room, music room and even a dance studio
There are also a range of recreational and retail facilities of which students can take advantage of including Starbucks, Costa, Tim Hortons, Chuno, Subway, KFC, Just Salad and Hello Fruits
Student Support
Students at the university are able to work part time in any of the over 4,500 businesses located in its free zones. Moreover, Middlesex University Dubai provides Student Visas for all non-national students studying on any of its academic programs, and its team ensures this process is carried out as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The University is also involved in a wide range of sporting activities, student social clubs, fieldtrips and both national and international competitions
It welcomes students from across the world and has student ambassadors from countries including Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, India, South Africa, Vietnam, Spain and the UK. The ambassadors help international students get accustomed life in Dubai as well as life on campus. In both January and September, students experience the university’s ‘Week of Welcome’ which is a schedule filled with activities, games and competitions to help students feel at ease and get to know their surroundings. Staff, students and agency representatives often attend events overseas to speak to students who are looking at their options to study abroad
