Overview
Belmont University is a private christian university located in Nashville, Tennessee. The university originated with the founding of the Belmont Women's College in 1890 by Susan Ledley Heron and Ida Emily Hood. It was considered as Belmont College in 1951 but finally was termed as Belmont University in 1991 due to many expansion programs.
Belmont offers more than 190 Undergraduate, graduate, professional and certification programs that aim to ignite passion in students and help them gain the appropriate expertise to become competent leaders of the society.

Belmont takes students’ health and well being very seriously as they have Counseling services that offer short term mental health education and care for all students. They also have a campus pharmacy that provides quality medical services to all students in need.

They also have Accessibility services for students with different needs and handle accommodation processes for differently abled students and those suffering from medical conditions.

Belmont goes out of its way to promote inclusivity on campus and one of the way it does this is by being mindful of Title IX and prevention of sexual violence on campus. They promise a safe and comfortable environment for all students, staff and faculty.

With approximately 180+ student-led clubs and organizations, there are endless opportunities to find the community where you fit like a puzzle piece. These include communities like the Student Government Association (SGA), The Student Activities Programming Board (SAPB), Greek organizations, and many more.
