Financial and Economic sectors plays vital role in economic growth .Team of financials and economist identify the consequences, fragility and politics behind financial deepening. The two years MSc Economics and Financial Risk Analysis at Maynooth University helps students to broaden their spectrum through international quality training.
This course revolves around, survey of large theoretical and empirical literature, which has a link with financial system process for economic development. The course enable students to improve their prior understanding and learn economics, financial, quantitative and communication skills to become a professional in specific field.
The whole first year has been designed, to give equal knowledge to the students of world of Economics and Finance. Hence, students can pursue as a Financer or an Economist. University offers optional modules during the studies but students can focus mainly on Investment, Derivatives, International Finance and Econometrics.
Second year of the MSc Economics and Financial Risk Analysis in UK has two semesters and students usually have been offered to do three month research thesis or work in summer term. In first semester, study Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics. In second semester students focus on specialized field modules just like Financial Risk Analysis ,Advanced Derivatives ,Empirical Finance ,International Finance ,Corporate Finance and Market Microstructure.
At the end of the course, disciples of MSc Economics and Financial Risk Analysis could join domestic and International firms and make their career in credit risk management, insurance, hedge fund management and retail banking.
During the course students are asked to complete at least one year of study program but if any student wants to quit in between then he/she will be awarded with the higher Diploma in Economics.
