Petroleum courses cover all the activities involved in the exploration, exploration and extraction of minerals, metals, petroleum and fuels in the world. Petroleum engineers are investigating mineral resources and are responsible for planning and overseeing the construction of the mines. Petroleum and petroleum engineers analyze the oil and gas reserves and monitor the performance of the drilling operations. Well-versed engineers in these fields are involved in all phases of extraction, from acquisition, research, production, construction and maintenance of mines and resources, safety of personnel and environmental impact assessment. The Masters of Science program in Petroleum Engineering at London South Bank University aims to disseminate, strengthen and integrate knowledge and insights into the processes of the oil and gas industries. You will study mathematics, science, computer-based techniques, design and engineering work to solve petroleum engineering problems and various complexities, focusing on economic, social and environmental conditions. By the end of the program you should have gained in-depth knowledge of the integrated oil reservoir model in order to predict, develop, continue and develop oil and gas production processes.
The complexity of the oil and gas sector offers a variety of opportunities for the development of petroleum engineers. In many oil companies around the world a team of petrol engineers consists of geologist, pool engineer, Peter-physicist, mining engineer and production engineer. With this Master’s degree you will be able to apply for positions in all these fields. Each member of the teaching team will be focusing on the individual consultation of the great work being done, which will increase the production of cost-effective labor from the sector. As a MSc graduate in Petroleum Engineering your profile will be tailored to the needs of various oil and gas production areas, as well as reservoir engineers at large companies, which offer a good graduate program, as well as to medium and small operations and consulting companies. LSBU’s approach will make you a better prospect for employers - you'll understand the teaching, but also be able to use your learning and skills in the workforce with confidence.
