The Global Development and Health Program will allow you to integrate established health and development strategies to address the current problems of global political development. Global health problems seek solutions that go beyond established public health responses. This program will help you to consider the most comprehensive solutions to the long-term needs of local communities. You will find a solid foundation in geographical and behavioral thinking, and you will look at the issues of global health geography. You will be challenged to explore the connection between the questions of development and global health, using the fundamental method of geographical representation to question the established beliefs, norms and policies. There will be opportunities to learn about new approaches to global public health and project management through a variety of selection modules.
While studying at Queens Marry University of London, you will receive personalized training and guidance as you progress in independent and field research through dissertation. You will be able to broaden your understanding of these topics through a field trip of choice in Mumbai or Malaysia (another age) with Geneva. You will also be able to develop your research skills and experience by doing an independent research project and fieldwork. This will be supported by research training and personalized guidance from experienced researchers. You will have the opportunity to attend weekly research seminars and research sessions with senior academic researchers.
The World Development and Environment Program also offers students the opportunity to do free work with the London International Development Center (LIDC) while studying. The Global Development and Health Program will prepare you for a broad range of activities but will provide the necessary research and information skills required by NGOs, development agencies, national government departments and academic research fields. Previous degrees have taken PhDs and continue to train professionals as humanitarian doctors. They have also worked in the department of environmental waste, consulting, as a marketer and in marketing and management.
