This program is designed for students seeking employment in the financial field, especially in the field of financial technology. This course will equip you with both theoretical and technical skills specific to the financial industry. It will equip you with transferable skills such as the ability to develop and present conflict, as well as the ability to work independently and in groups. You will study the concepts of risk and return in equity markets, both in the context of asset pricing, and in the management of equity portfolios. You will be focusing on the analysis of the stylized facts of asset returns, and will then review the theoretical basics of modern finance, covering expected utility theory and risk aversion. You will explore how to analyze big data and covers areas such as predictive analytics, risk modeling and corporate finance. You also learn about the application of data analytics in high frequency finance, fraud and personal finance.
