MA Performance and Music Arts

The Music and Preforming Arts are considered to be a soothing therapy and treatment for inner peace. Research has shown that human body can respond to sound waves and frequencies. A one year MA in performing Arts and Music in Maynooth University is based on research and techniques to enhance prior knowledge. Preforming Arts and Music for international students brings together a class room studies and experiential learning. It provides students a platform to strength in performance and music.

This pathway course has been designed and develop postgraduate level performance and specialization in musicology. A final performance of your academic determines the level of absorption of your body and mind. This course is a blend of performance, composition and technology.

In addition to all these, some other features need to be discussed below,

· University release fund for musical instruments

· Daily rehearsals with professionals

· Priority allocation of tutorial with visiting performance as available

· Students will be given opportunity to perform in gathering and seminars

· Students can easily access to practice room

· Priority inclusion in the Department’s public lunch time concert series

· All performance will be recorded

· Individual tutorial with a designated advisor

· Involvement in research Seminar presentation in which MA students have the opportunity to present their research and receive feed back

· Students will receives expert advice on issues from musicology ,performance 

Department of Music and Performance Arts assigns an advisor to help you in your thesis, related to performance repertoire. Students can join any art administration field or they can remain as Solo Artist.
