Diploma of Health Science

Health science is a generic term including all the instructions used in the delivery and development of health. Bachelors and Masters in Health Science include information from other fields, such as natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics, which can be used in health care research and practice, and in public health education. There are over 50 different fields in the field, which can be divided into three major categories: physical sciences, clinical engineering and health physics, and life sciences.

As a student of health science, you will study within world-class resources, preparing to work disciplinary at all levels of health technology. Health Science Diploma is a one-year diploma that covers the basics you need to continue studying in medical medicine and Public Health. Develop qualifications and practical skills to further study or a lucrative career in the wider pharmaceutical industry. You will study in the classroom, in the laboratories and once you have learned it completely, you will use your knowledge of clinical training in placement and health care workplaces. Diploma duration is three trimesters (12 months). There is an option, however, to immediately follow the course and finish it in two trimesters (8 months). Griffith College creates a positive experience that includes: a full year of study equivalent to the first year of the Griffith College Course Program. With our pathway program you can gain admission to the 2nd Bachelor of Health Science or Biomedical Science. The university will provide you with the knowledge and skills to pursue the courses that will require your career.

You will gain a broader understanding of how the human body works and access to a broad range of highlights that provide you with valuable information and skills to use in various aspects of health care that allow you to adapt this course to suit your career. After graduation, students may be eligible to apply for entry into the Curtin University programs in public health like (health information management, nutrition, health promotion, occupational health, public health and sexology), pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.
