English Requirements
- IELTS Overall Band: 6.5
The BEng program in Civil Engineering and Construction Management (CECM) aims to produce graduates who are able to successfully pursue a career (as integrated engineers) in various fields of Civil Engineering and Built Environment. While this program provides students with a good understanding of the concepts based on the various subjects associated with an emphasis on engineering it focuses on the application and development of practical skills associated with the processes of construction, management and local administration. The proposed program enables students to achieve a comprehensive and sound understanding of community engineering, infrastructure projects and relevant technologies and processes that will help graduates to better develop the necessary skills and competencies needed to manage and manage the production process and site processes. Initially, in year 1, students were taught a variety of social engineering topics including roles and relationships in appropriate construction activities. They are also presented in some basic concepts associated with the basic concept, health and safety, sustainability and engineering construction.
During 2 and 3 years interns are introduced to a wide range of subjects covering all aspects of Civil Engineering (architecture, building materials, hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, environmental engineering and transportation). Comprehension and application are supported by the development and application of thinking and problem-solving skills. During the recent years of the program (3 and 4 years) the courses contributed more specifically to construction and management. Recent studies in conjunction with the 4th year project require students to develop and apply practical skills; communications, leadership and team skills; lifelong learning; information management; and, scientific methods, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The courses leading up to the final year of study are also important for the development of social skills, responsibilities, ethics, technology, business, and management skills.
