Bachelor of Public Health (Dean's Scholar)

The University of Wollongong Public Health is the art and science of promoting healthy people, places and policies. Public Health improves the health and quality of life of a population, by working to prevent disease, extend health, and promote health by analyzing science and developing solutions to problems. Public health focuses on disease prevention, health promotion and health promotion. It is built on a multidisciplinary understanding of health that allows you to assess and assess the basis of disease and well-being by looking at the vagaries of physical space, human behavior and cultural clarifications and management of health care.

This distance will provide you with an understanding of the most important issues affecting human health. You will develop skills in accessing, viewing and analyzing health information; planning and managing a health plan or project; and to improve people's health. As a Dean's Scholar, you will be passionate about learning in your field of study and at the University of Wollongong. You will have access to academic advisor, increased library privileges, invitations to attend workshops with schools and networking events. There is also a chance of a regular job at the University of Wollongong Faculty of social research, Social Sciences by leading staff or academics for fifteen hours a year.

While studying at the University of Wollongong Bachelor of Public Health you will learn the basics of the health sector and develop an understanding of the issues including health, illness, treatment and well-being. There is an emphasis on the scientific basis of public health, as well as social policies and communications. If you are a very successful and motivated student, Dean's Scholar program will provide you with enriching educational information. Dean's courses are supported by a member of the academic staff to advise on issues that affect your degree. The most successful students can do an Honors year near the end of their development and use their research skills.
