The La Trobe University Bachelor of Psychological Science program will prepare you for a career as a psychologist, or in the field of psychology in all fields from clinical psychology to human services and marketing. The 11 options give you the flexibility to work for the job you want. You can also complete your degree in law, business, management, marketing, social sciences, science, genetics, language, drama, media studies and more. You will learn: Analytical, research and communication skills - Learn essential skills in your future work in psychology. Psychology and health psychology - Get an understanding of how you can help people deal with mental and physical disorders. Developmental and social psychology - Understand how environmental factors contribute to the formation of human psychology. Psychological assessment, intervention and research - Get familiar with ways of understanding and measuring people's attitudes.

Bachelor of Psychological Science is a three-year degree. You can decide to deepen your studies in psychology with the aim of becoming a registered psychologist or you can take courses related to various La Trobe courses to enhance psychology knowledge. Students with an excellent academic record and extended psychology may apply for admission to a one-year Bachelor of Psychological Science degree, which is a pre-requisite for professional enrollment.

As a Bachelor of Psychological Science graduate, you will be prepared for careers in counseling, supervision, health management, sociology, human services, sociology and other related fields. You may also qualify for undergraduate degrees in areas such as speech pathology, social work, counseling, mental health, crime and criminal justice, human services, mental health, disability studies, health care, and business research.
