Automation and Instrumentation control engineering at Edith Cowan University is a mixture of electrical engineering controls and computer engineering. This integrated approach includes the development of smart systems for monitoring, processing, and manufacturing in different fields of engineering. During study in Australia, the course is designed to provide a strong background for entry into the various fields of automation and control of the mining and mining, oil and gas industries and agricultural industries most represented in Western Australia's economy. Graduates of this course will be discussing electrical engineering and technology; have specialist skills in the design, development and management of advanced and automated control systems; and to be able to participate in, and lead, various multidisciplinary projects.
The program focuses on the development of knowledge and skills relevant to professional engineering practice and the foundation of theoretical concept, and includes strong elements of practical problem solving, team work and project development. Because of this, graduates will have strong analytical skills, in addition to many technical and transferable skills. This course covers topics in process control algorithms, computer assembly and communication of industrial controllers, as well as computer automation, including the use of PLCs, SCADAs, and PC systems to control systems and processes. Topics such as advanced PLC control and SCADA systems, as well as implementation plans are introduced in the advanced years of the program, after students have gained exposure to the idea of modern control concepts and evolving systems.
Controlling metals and active metals have a variety of employment opportunities in many sectors of the industry, including product development and development, manufacturing, mining and utilities, agriculture, public services, road and transportation, defense, aviation, chemicals, chemicals, and consulting. Bachelor's degree graduates in Automotive Engineering receive job opportunities such as Control and Hypertension Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Instrument Engineer.
