Bachelor of Automotive Engineering (Hons) - BEng

Automotive engineering in Sussex encompasses all aspects of modern car development, including engine, transmission and chassis design. This education will give you the knowledge and skills to deal with the challenges and changes in the automotive industry. Our research contributes directly to our teaching, so you will benefit from our work through flexibility, control and vehicle research. Research projects include a vehicle control system, a board-operated vehicle diagnostic system, a motor-powered motor with an IC motor train train, and autonomous vehicles. You will learn from our Future Technologies Labs which include computer suits and new functional / robotic environments. There is also a dedicated production lab with state-of-the-art equipment such as CNC machines and 3-D printers. Our connections to the world's leading car companies, combined with the opportunity to work in a one-way racing car in our Formula Student project, mean that you are determined to become a specialized engineer in the automotive business.
